What to consider when migrating to MS 365 Login for Scope?
If you migrate to MS 365 Login for Scope, you will need an administrator user to link the Entra IDs with the Scope user IDs, for both live and test systems, and add any additional e-mail addresses.
- Administrator: Link the Entra IDs with the Scope user IDs for both live and test system. After the mapping has been set by us, you can proceed. Step 1 and Step 2 from this article: https://service.riege.com/en/knowledge/how-do-i-set-up-microsoft-365-login-for-scope
- End-user: Use the new startup link for Scope (you can remove the previous shortcuts), https://scope.riege.com/ (Scope live system) and https://scope.riege.cloud/ (Scope test system) and follow steps 4 to 8 of this https://service.riege.com/en/knowledge/how-do-i-set-up-microsoft-365-login-for-scope
- Optionally, done by the administrator (previous alternative e-mail addresses will no longer be available): Add any additional e-mail addresses the user needs to send e-mail from Scope: https://service.riege.com/en/knowledge/how-do-i-add-additional-email-addresses-for-a-user
- Optionally, done by the end-user (previous pictures will no longer be available): Upload the picture of his signature for usage on e.g. the AWB document.
You will find the upload panel on the Signature tab of the user profile:
https://service.riege.com/en/knowledge/how-do-i-add-a-signature-picture - Optionally, done by the end-user (previous settings will have been reset to the default of the Entra ID): Adjust language setting, and date/number formatting.
You will find the upload panel on the Preferences tab of the user profile. - Optionally, done by the administrator: Adjust display name of users in your directory if necessary. Scope follows industry best practices and uses the display name of a user as maintained in the customer's directory whenever the name needs to be presented to external parties, e. g. on printed documents or any other communication purposes. The display name is the “end-user's full name in displayable form including all name parts, possibly including titles and suffixes, ordered according to the End-User's locale and preferences.” (see OpenID Connect specification).
