Scope does not start. What can I do?

If you are using a desktop shortcut to start Scope, you may need to update/reinstall the Scope Runtime to solve the problem.

This article will only help you if you are NOT using Microsoft 365 login with Scope.

  1. Go to https://www.riege.com/scope/download and download the Scope runtime for Windows or MacOS.
  2. Install the runtime.
  3. Contact our Support to get your individual Startlink for Scope.
  4. Paste this link in an internet browser - a Scope start page will open.
  5. Click the Start button on the page.

Next time you want to start Scope, you can use the newly created desktop shortcut.

Looking for the 32-bit version of the Scope Runtime?

You can download the last available 32-bit version from: https://getscope.riege.com/live/Scope_Runtime_windows-x32_17_14_1.exe

Please note that this version is no longer supported and will not update automatically.

We strongly recommend upgrading your PCs or operating system to a supported version and, in that process, installing the current 64-bit Scope Runtime.
