Why can I not add or change my AWB number?
The AWB number in Scope becomes not editable upon airline booking and if the shipment is over a year old. To assign a new AWB number, create a new shipment.
There are several reasons why the AWB number field may not be editable in an air Export entry within Scope.
- Once an Airline Booking has been made, editing the AWB number is no longer possible.
- If the shipment is over one year old, the AWB number field is locked and cannot be modified.
In these cases, it is necessary to create a new shipment in order to generate and assign a new AWB number.
We do not recommend changing the AWB number once eAWB messages have been transmitted.
To cancel a shipment, use the Extras option "Cancel / Revert Cancellation".
To close a shipment, see How can I manage the financial status of shipments?
If the AWB number field is editable, but you cannot use the number, see Why do I get an error message saying 'AWB number already used' or 'AWB number is blocked'?
