Which permissions does a user need in order to post invoice line items for different branches?
Users can obtain the required rights either via the general access permissions for branches or via the specific access rights under Finance > Accounts Payable.
Only admin users can see the access permission button.
Under Finance > Accounts Payable...Access permissions, you control which users are allowed to post to which branches. If specific branches are assigned to a user there, the user can post only to those selected branches.
If a user has general permissions for multiple branches and is not listed in the above-mentioned access rights list, they can post to all branches to which they have access based on their general user permissions.
Example:
If there is an entry for a user in the access rights, but only some branches are selected, the user has no posting rights for the branches that are not selected. In this case, you must add the missing branch in the access rights.
Alternatively, you can remove the user completely from the “edit access permissions” list. In that case, only the general user permissions, including the branches stored there, will apply.
