The Air Export Departure Control function allows you to monitor and confirm all your departing flights. In this article, we explain how to use the Air Export Departure Control function.
Air Export Departure Control Overview
To monitor all departing flights, navigate to the Scope menu and select Airfreight > Departure Control. This section provides an overview of all departing flights that have not yet been confirmed as departed.
In the overview, you can select any flight and:
- Open : Open the shipment/file
- Departure Control (or double-click on the flight): Allows to confirm departure)
- Send FSR: Request a Freight Status Request (FSR) from the Airline
This function can only be used in certain Countries.
For NL customers this is not supported by Cargonaut - Refresh: This will refresh the data in the overview.
- Clean up: Allows to do a clean up until a specific date
Automatic departure confirmation (by FSU-message)
Most airlines send Freight Status Update (FSU) messages. This message contains the actual flight number, date, and time of the departure. In Scope you can find these messages in the Events TAB with the codes CIMP_XXX.
Departure on scheduled flight
When the Airline confirms the departure in the FSU-message the flight(s) in Scope will also be confirmed as departed. If there is no second flight, it will no longer appear in the Air Export Departure Control overview and the departure control is complete.
Multiple flights
In case there are multiple flights, it will be visible in the Departure Control until all flights have a confirmed departure.
Manual departure confirmation
Manual departure confirmation is required in the following cases:
- The airline is not sending FSU messages.
