How does replacing one-time addresses work in Scope?

One-time address-to-partner mappings can be triggered using ALT-SHIFT-P and saved in the corresponding interface EDI mapping.

Redesigned Dialog for Replacing One-Time Addresses

One-time addresses often appear when data is imported through interfaces. In partner fields, you can use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+P to replace a one-time address with an existing partner and take advantage of master data such as credit limits, contact addresses, and other information.

Since Scope 24.2, the process for replacing one-time addresses has been improved with an expanded dialog and additional details. A key addition is the option to link a known existing partner directly using a partner input field that supports partner search.

This new option significantly improves interface mapping. When data is imported through an interface, Scope asks whether you want to save the mapping in the EDI profile. Once saved, Scope remembers the replacement mapping and applies it automatically when the same address is imported again.

Improved Learning of One-Time Address-to-Partner Mappings

Scope can already learn which partners were used to replace one-time addresses with Alt+Shift+P and save this information in the corresponding interface EDI mapping. Previously, however, this feature was limited to addresses that included an identifier in the incoming interface data. This restriction has been removed. Scope can now save the partner mapping regardless of whether the incoming interface data includes an identifier. When the mapping is saved, the address from the interface data is replaced with the corresponding partner. For this mapping to work with future incoming messages, the address data must remain unchanged.
