Automated Export System (AES)

The idea of the automated export system is implemented internationally through variously named procedures.

In Germany, AES is implemented under the name ATLAS-Ausfuhr.
AES (Automated Export System) is the processing of the customs export procedure in the IT procedure ATLAS. The export declaration in the electronic export procedure receives a registration number MRN - Master Reference Number.

In the USA, the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirement
(AESTIR) defines rules for the operational implementation of the AES.
AESTIR defines file formats, designates systems, explains IT procedures and names the official bodies involved in the USA. Through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) las part of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enables businesses to report electronically through various procedures:  ACE Entry (V), In-bond (IB), Document Image System (DIS), drawback (DB), Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), and Importer Security Filing (ISF).

In the Netherlands, the procedure is called DMS (Douaneaangiften Management Systeem).
In 2022/2023, the DMS will replace the current AGS and the current procedure for periodic declarations (GPA/SPA). https://www.riege.com/news/new-customs-declarations-system-is-about-to-replace-ags-in-the-netherlands/
