First: Click on the notes icon in Scope to set the focus, then recover the notes window by pressing the Windows logo key (hold it) + left or right arrow to bring it back on the screen.
Important Note for MS PowerToys Users:
These instructions will not work for users of Microsoft PowerToys. PowerToys may override the default window management shortcuts, preventing the below method from working. If you are using PowerToys, consider temporarily disabling it or adjusting its settings to use the standard Windows shortcuts.
Retrieving the Notes Window in Scope
Sometimes, the notes window may not be visible on the screen. This can happen for several reasons, such as the window being placed outside the visible screen area by Windows or accidentally moved by the user.
Common Causes:
- Screen Resolution Changes: If the screen resolution changes, windows may be repositioned off-screen.
- Multiple Monitors: When using multiple monitors, disconnecting or rearranging them can cause windows to be placed off-screen.
- Accidental Dragging: The user may have unintentionally dragged the window out of view.
The solution
To resolve this issue and bring the Notes window back into view, follow these steps:

Focus on the Window: Click on the Notes icon in Scope to give focus to the window, even if it is not visible.

Press and hold
Windows logo key
then press theleft or right arrow
key. The notes window should come up. If it doesn't, please try the key combination below.
Move the Window: PressAlt+Space
to open the window's control menu.Choose the appropriate option based on your computer's language setting:
- English: Press
M
(Move) - Dutch: Press
V
(Verplaatsen) - Spanish: Press
T
(Mover) - German: Press
V
(Verschieben)
Use the arrow keys to start moving the window. Once you start moving it with the arrow keys, you can use the mouse to drag the window back into view.
