Ocean Event Interface

Processing of incoming container level tracking information from an external event-provider

Top features

The Ocean Event Message has been designed to allow the processing of incoming container level tracking information from an external event-provider.

Meaning that the message will be processed in the same way as messages originating from a Riege partner integration. This means, among other things, that tracking at container level is fully supported.

Prerequisite

  • You receive events from any event provider. These events are available in a third-party format and must then be converted into the Riege message format. You can do this yourself or with a partner (e.g. LogisticsCloud).
  • No further Setup in Scope is needed to receive and process the Ocean Event messages. Please note that Scope will simply ignore an event message if no shipment matching the given references can be found.
  • The description of the Ocean Event Message Format is available at
    github.io/xml-ocean-event/

Technical information

  • The set of events (event codes) supported by this message is limited by intention. Please reach out to service@riege.com if you think that an important type of event might be missing.
  • The interface is offered in incoming direction only, meaning that Scope can receive but will not create and send those messages.
