New requirements for Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/920 and EBR transmission for unsecure export shipments from FRA, MUC, HAM, DUS & VIE.
How can I meet the requirements of September 1 in Scope?
We refer to the new requirements communicated by Lufthansa regarding Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/920 and EBR transmission for unsecured export consignments from FRA, MUC, HAM, DUS & VIE. We will address these recently published requirements in Scope and provide separate notification on their implementation.
As an immediate solution, we recommend the following procedure, based on the approach for ACAS regulations for the USA. See also:
In addition, the “Individual AWB Address” field should be maintained both for the role of forwarding customer and for the role agent—specifically for shipper/consignee, issuing agent, or import agent.
If you have already entered the individual e-AWB address in accordance with ACAS, you can either right-click or use CTRL+C to copy the data and paste it into the “Individual AWB Address” field. Please ensure that the checkbox for “Individual e-AWB Address” is selected beforehand to activate the field.
Once you have completed these steps, the required data will be automatically included in the AWB and synchronized within the FHL/FWB data.
For unsecured export shipments, manually enter the statement “EBR OK” in the handling information of the (M)AWB. This statement will then appear both on the AWB and in the FWB data transmitted to the airline.
As an addendum to the Lufthansa update (https://www.lufthansa-cargo.com/de/l/61168309): Once the NSC security status has been assigned, please access the security status history and enter “EBR OK” in the “Additional Security Information” field.
This ensures the status is also reflected in the OCI line, as required by Lufthansa.
