Importer Security Filing (ISF)

US Customs declaration procedure for goods being imported into the US.

ISF, also known as '10+2', is a declaration procedure mandated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for security purposes. Information on all containerized cargo entering - or transiting - the U.S. must be submitted to CBP 24 hours prior to ocean-going vessels leaving ports of origin and entering the U.S.

It is also known as the 10+2 process, as ten pieces of information must be submitted by the importer or supplier and two more by the carrier.
