I want to do ICS2 filing. What are the ways in Scope?
• ICS2 through our partner Trade Tech. • ICS2 through INTTRA, carrier filing. Data is transmitted in shipping instructions.
Requirements
- Both ways will need a setup that could create additional costs.
- Trade Tech/INTTRA contract
- Scope Appliance Settings > Seafreight > Ocean Carrier EDI Mapping > Default setup for filing by ocean carrier: check ICS2/ENS
- Carrier needs to be activated for ICS2 (not all carriers support ICS2)
- You can make use of events to gain feedback for the filing. Create or update your tracking plan to see the status.
Filing via Trade Tech
- Choose Manifest filing on the shipment general tab.
- Select ICS2 on the manifest type field.
- Click Send to transmit the filing to Trade Tech.
- (Optionally) Check the option “file directly” (to directly transmit to EU customs system).
FAQ
Some data has changed. Can I send the filing again to “update” the data?
Yes, you can send the updated filing via Scope and the old data will be replaced.
If data is changed by entering the Trade Tech web application, updates via Scope are no longer possible.
Carrier filing via INTTRA
- Open the Bill of Lading Instructions with the action link on the general tab of the shipment.
- Depending on the place of delivery, the manifest filing options on the bottom right of the window will be checked. For Ocean Carrier Filing, please check the option “filing performed by Ocean Carrier”.

Note: Filing by Carrier or Forwarder (for ACI, AMS or ICS2/ENS).
For AMS/ACI, filing can only be changed if Forwarder has a defined NVOCC SCAC.
For ICS2/ENS, filing can only be changed if Carrier can perform filing.
