How can I submit a Portbase MED message from Scope?

Portbase MED message
A Portbase MED message is a notification in the Portbase system for Notification Documentation (MED = Melding Export Documentatie).
It is used to register the containers that are being delivered to the terminal for export.
Introduction
There are two primary methods available for submitting a Portbase MED report. Furthermore, users from NL Customs can conveniently submit the report directly through their customs declaration.
Submit the message from the Sea Export file
- Open the relevant Sea Export File in Scope.
- Register the MRN of the customs declaration (if you did not prepare this in Scope yourself)

- Click on "New Notification Export Documents".
- Select the relevant declaration for which the Portbase MED report applies.
- Fill in the required details.
- Click "Send" to submit the report.
Submit the message from the Portbase application
- In Scope, go to application Seafreight - Portbase.
- Click "New" followed by "MED Procedure (ECS)"
- Fill in the required fields.
- Click "Send" in the top bar to submit the message.
Submit MED from DMS or NCTS5 (NL customs declarants only)
In the DMS & NCTS5 Declaration
- Open the relevant DMS or NCTS5 declaration.
- Navigate to Tab "Shipment" > Tab "Transport".
- Fill in the required details and select "Send Automatically".
- When you submit the DMS or NCTS5 declaration, the Portbase MED report will be sent automatically.
