How can I map a Sea Carrier address to a Scope Partner?
Sea Export Carriers may send booking confirmations via Inttra or Infor Nexus that contain partner addresses like export and container terminals. If the carrier provides the UID for the address, these partners can be mapped to Scope addresses.
Setup and Example
Check if the messages returned by the carrier contains a map-able UID.
In the example below "NAD+TR+USOAKOA" indicates the carrier's UID for Oakland International Terminal is "USOAKOA" and this can be mapped to a Scope partner.
NAD+CK++SSA TERMINALS BERTH 58:1717 MIDDLE HARBOR ROAD, OAKLAND CA:Oakland+++++94607+US'
NAD+TR+USOAKOA:160:ZZZ+OAKLAND INTERNATION CONTAINER TERMI:SSA TERM.BERTH 58; 1717 MIDDLE HARB:Oakland++++++US'
Check in the Clearance Center for these codes in the booking confirmation from the carrier. These do not appear in the shipment.
Create the mapping
Go to Settings > Seafreight > Ocean Carrier EDI Mapping.
In Ocean Carrier EDI Mapping-application, the top window displays all the carriers that have been created and the portal used. Select or add the sea carrier/portal combination that has transmitted to Scope partner address information.
The lower window will show the partners currently mapped for the selected sea carrier/portal combination.
You can see that the external reference USOAKOA from the interface message is mapped to the internal reference OAKOAK1 - a partner address.
