How can I do Ocean Security Filing in Scope?
There are multiple ways to get the manifest data to the customs authorities. This can involve more or less manual data entry. Scope can assist you regardless of the way you choose.
Basic filing (with Trade Tech)
- Send Ocean HBL data to Trade Tech with Manifest Type “Generic”.
- Access the TradeTech web application and complete the filing data there.
- Any filing can be done on that data (list as of Dec 2025):
- USA: AMS, ISF, AES
- Canada: ACI, e-Manifest
- Mexico: AMS
- EU&UK: ICS2/ENS
- Japan: AFR
- South Africa: SARS
- United Arab Emirates: MPCI
Direct Filing (with TradeTech)
AMS and ICS2/ENS have a direct path to customs through TradeTech. No need to additionally access the Tradetech system. Full validation is done in Scope and feedback is also visualized in Scope.
Carrier Filing
Supported by Scope through INTTRA for AMS, ACI and ICS2/ENS.
Filing data can be transmitted from Scope to the Carrier in Shipping Instructions.
