How to set an embargo on a country?
Avoid shipping cargo to sanctioned countries.
It can occur that you need to set an embargo on a specific country. To avoid sending shipments to sanctioned countries, you can set embargoes in the Countries application in Scope. In the top bar of the Countries application (Master Data > Countries) you can click on Embargos... and open a table where you can enter the countries for which an embargo is applicable. To activate the changes, exit and restart Scope. When you use a country that is flagged with an embargo, a red validation message will appear notifying you that an embargo is applicable. Users with a specific permission can overrule the embargo for a shipment and release it.
To maintain and overrule embargoes, specific permissions are required. Please file a ticket by means of F12 in Scope or via https://service.riege.com/tickets/new
For the set-up, we will want to know who needs to maintain the embargoes in the Countries application. We will also want to know who may overrule the embargoes in the shipments. A specific permission is also available for users who may create a DMS export declaration (NL Customs) for an embargo shipment.
