Screening Alarm (e-mail template)

This e-mail template is used in case of an Airfreight Cargo Screening (Dunkelalarm)

You will find/you can add the template here: Settings > Email Settings ... Templates.

This e-mail template is used when a screening company using Scope completes a screening task and encounters a Dunkelalarm.

For example, if an X-ray does not provide a clear result, the user needs to ask the customer for permission to open the package and confirm whether they agree to pay the additional costs for further inspection.

Text suggestion for the e-mail Template

Dear {{name}},

During the screening of your shipment {{shipmentNumber}} by our partner, a “Dunkelalarm” was triggered.
This means that there was insufficient information during the check, such as an X-ray inspection, to confirm the
contents or safety of the package.

We kindly ask for your permission to open the package for further inspection.
Additionally, we would like to know if you agree to the possible additional costs associated with this inspection.

Could you please let us know if we have your permission to proceed with the inspection and if you agree to the additional charges of ..... euro?

Thank you in advance for your response.

What is a Dunkelalarm?

A Dunkelalarm is an alarm that is triggered when there is insufficient information during a screening, such as an X-ray inspection of a package, to guarantee the safety or contents of the package. It literally means “dark alarm,” where “dark” refers to a lack of visibility or clarity in the scan images.

In practice, a Dunkelalarm means that the staff conducting the screening does not have enough information to determine whether the package is safe. This may lead to the customer being asked for permission for an additional check, such as opening the package, and to confirm whether they are willing to pay the extra costs for this inspection.
