Instruction details for our Scope sandbox using branches from the United States
Hi there! Welcome to our Scope sandbox!
You have been invited to access our Scope sandbox, which will provide you a great overview of all available modules and features in Scope and gives you the opportunity to test everything!
IMPORTANT: please note that the Scope demo environment may be used by other Scope prospects too. Therefore, please do NOT use real data for addresses, shipments and costs for this Scope sandbox, so that they will not be exposed to other companies!
Scope Runtime
In order to run Scope on your PC, you need to install the Scope Runtime. This can be downloaded either via the following link: https://www.riege.com/scope/download/ or via the Scope sandbox start-webpage. You can find more details regarding the Scope Runtime here: knowledgebase article.
Scope client (forwarding and customs software)
You can access the Scope sandbox via the following start-webpage URL:

Click the start button, it will download a java applet automatically on your PC and install a shortcut on your desktop for convenience additionally.
Your credentials to access the Scope sandbox will be sent by email to you. Please contact service@riege.com, if your login details are missing, or you require access again.
Here is an overview of the Scope sandbox, so that you can easily use a full functional environment with existing master data, such as shipper, consignee, agent combinations that are set up with tariffs etc. We ask you not to delete or modify ANY of the existing master data, but play around as much as you like. You can also add partners and use different departure and destination for your shipments. However, please be aware, that the output and automatic procedures in Scope might differ due to your choices.
If you get stuck or have a question, please do not hesitate to hit function key “F12” in Scope, which will create a support ticket and let us know the problem, so our service team can immediately help you.
Where am I
You work for a fictive company, Scope Cargo. Scope handles ocean freight in the Los Angeles office (LAX) and airfreight in the Seattle office (SEA). Clicking on your name in Scope in the bottom right corner will allow you to switch between these branches.
Existing Data
Feel free to open any existing orders, such as shipments, quotations and invoices.
Create your own shipments
By using the suggested shippers, consignees, origins and destination mentioned here, shipment processing, milestone completion, auto-invoicing and cost calculation will work seamlessly giving you a realistic view of Scope in a live environment with existing data.
As mentioned before, you can also enter new partners, other destinations to your own likes. Please note:

If you add a trucking company (road transporter) as partner, this partner will need the role “Road Carrier” in partner maintenance

If you add a liner agent or co-loader as partner, this partner will need the role “Liner Agent” and can be linked to the related carrier in partner maintenance

If you add an overseas agent as partner, this partner will need the role “Agent” and be linked to the related port (UN Location Code) via partner maintenance

scopedemo is an employee user ID of the company “SCOLAX -Scope Cargo USA Inc. (LAX)”. In the demo environment, SCOLAX is used for both import and export shipments. scopedemo Scope Connect account sees all shipments of his company only.
He can also make bookings and upload additional documents on existing shipments.
As an overseas agent

agentdemo is an employee user ID of the company “SCOHAM”, which is your agent in Hamburg, Germany. She can see shipments on which she is mentioned as agent, all shipments of shipper or consignee of company “SCOLAX”. Jenny can also enter pre-alerts (will become your import shipment in US). She can complete milestones on her shipments additionally.
