Scope Accounting Interface options

This article describes which accounting software packages Scope has a native accounting interface with, and how it can also be integrated with other accounting systems.

What does the Scope Accounting interface do?

The Scope accounting interface converts financial bookings—outgoing invoices created in Scope, incoming invoices registered in Scope, and optionally the general bookings related to cost estimates—into a format that is accepted by the accounting system.

Some accounting interfaces are implemented via API, while most operate through file-based integration, where files are exported from Scope and then imported into the accounting software.

To what accounting software packages does Scope have a native interface?

Most used accounting interfaces in NL are:

  • DATEV (DE)

  • Exact Globe+ (XML Import/Export) (BE, NL)

  • Exact Online (XML Import/Export) (BE, NL)

  • Accountview (XML Import) (NL)

  • AFAS (NL)

What if my accounting software package is not supported?

If your accounting software package is not directly supported, this does not mean that an interface is impossible. Many accounting systems can already work with one of the formats that Scope can generate. In such cases, the following conditions apply:

  • The accounting software package must be able to import transactions, and preferrable also debtor and creditor master data.
  • Some accounting software packages already support one of the formats supported by Scope. Please contact your account software provider to check what formats are supported by you accounting software package.
  • Other accounting software packages contain a mapping module in which you can map any existing Scope supported format into fields in the application. Please contact your account software provider to check of that is possible.
Scope formats that are typically used to map from are:
    • Booking Excel
    • Scope Accounting CSV
See: Scope Accounting CSV Interface Format
    • Fmuta6.csv
This format is a legacy format of Exact Software. It's contains debtor, creditor and transaction CSV files.
    • Exact Online
This the standard XML format of Exact Online.
    • Fmuta Afas
This is same as Fmuta6 format, but extended with some additional fields. We have used this format several times to realize the interface to Afas Accounting Software. Additional mapping is needed to be able to import this into Afas.

So in this case we need to do some analysis to see if a match can be made.
