Pre-notifications for PD shipments can be processed via CLIENT PD, enabling early data sharing with authorities, partial document control, and seamless conversion into import or transit declarations.
Client PD
Pre-notifications for the Plant Protection Service (PD) and the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA) can be processed via the Scope customs software through the NVWA’s CLIENT system. This ensures that all necessary information is available to the controlling authorities even before the shipment actually arrives in the Netherlands.
Document Control
The electronic pre-notification also handles part of the document control. The phytosanitary certificate is checked during inspection. Permission to redirect a shipment is granted based on the information from the phytosanitary certificate entered in CLIENT. This process is called simplified document control.
For shipments exempt from inspection (reduced checks), the original phytosanitary certificate must be submitted to the inspection office within two working days.
Pre-notifications can be converted into a DMS import declaration or DVA/NCTS5 declaration. Previously entered data are automatically carried over to the final declaration.
