Workflow how to create a payment file in the SEPA format which can be processed in banking applications

Pre-requisite
The creditor must have a registered bank account number.
Prepare Invoice
Invoices can be added to a payment file once their state is set to "Ready for Payment," regardless of their current accounts payable status—Open, Finished, Released, or On Hold.
To mark an accounts payable item as "Ready for Payment," use the "Transfer" action within the accounts payable entry and apply the following settings:
-
Payment Type: Set to Transfer
-
Payment Reference: Enter the reference required by the vendor for payment allocation
-
Bank Account: Select the destination bank account for the payment
Generate Payment File
Filter accounts payable entries according to your criteria and select "Generate Payment File" from the menu. This action creates an XML SEPA file, which can be processed by your banking platform. The payment file is automatically saved within the documents tab of all included invoices.
