C40 Customs Interface Incoming XML (External system to Scope)
This feature converts XML files in the Riege XML format delivered via an FTP server, into declarations within Scope. It supports the DMS Import, DMS Export, and NCTS5/DVA-Departure modules.
When generating a declaration automatically, a Scope declaration template specified in the XML can be applied. One of the fields also specifies whether Scope should automatically send the declaration if there are no validation errors on its end. In this case, Scope functions as a black box, but if validation errors occur, the declaration is not sent as it would fail at Customs anyway. Additionally, Scope can return status updates, import duties, and VAT information to the sender by placing an XML file back on the FTP server.
The generated declaration can either be manually linked to a shipment in Scope or remain standalone.
